Cyprien Gaillard

Cyprien Gaillard (b. Paris, 1980), is one of the most significant young French artists to have emerged in recent years.

For Gaillard's exhibition at the Hayward Gallery Project Space (his first in a major British institution) he will present a new series of five large-scale photographs, the video The Lake Arches (2006), and a new piece of 'semi-public' sculpture, created from concrete reclaimed from Glasgow Modernist high-rises detonated as part of the city's preparations for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
