The Burial at Thebes

Visionary conductor Peter Manning, founder of the Manning Camerata and Concertmaster at the Royal Opera House, has brought together composer Dominique Le Gendre with poet and theatre director Derek Walcott for the Manning Camerata's first fully staged opera commission.

Dominique Le Gendre is collaborating with two Nobel Laureates to adapt Seamus Heaney's The Burial at Thebes into an opera.
