Tales from the Front Room

Screening of the film 'Tales from the Front Room', followed by a short discussion with the director Michael McMillan.

This one hour film is an exploration of West Indian migrants sharing memories of their front room, where the room signified dignity, respectability and which, was kept from strangers. The film also looks at the changing black British culture, which is portrayed with light comedy but serious intent.
