Streetwise Opera

Inspired by Gregorio Allegri's 17th-century choral masterpiece Miserere Mei, Streetwise Opera presents the world premiere of My Secret Heart, an installation and staged production by electronic composer Mira Calix and video artists Flat-e. The piece has been created through workshops in homeless centres across the UK with Streetwise performers devising dramatic movements inspired by the secrecy and mystery of the Miserere Mei, as well as singing parts of the work.

Streetwise Opera uses music as a tool to help people who have experienced homelessness move forward in their lives.
