The Cat Who Ran

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Ran is the smallest kitten of the litter and he's just not up to scratch - he can't jump, hide or pounce as well as his siblings. So he trains tirelessly to try and improve his cat skills. In the course of his training he forms an unlikely friendship with a fish.

This friendship is put to the test when all the kittens are asked to prove their skills by catching the fish in the pond. What will Ran do - remain faithful to his friend or follow his cat instincts and eat him? A fable about friendship, loyalty and being true to your nature.

By Naoko Kudo. Adapted by Toyoko Nishida and translated by Yuriko Kobayashi. For Ages 5+
