Crime Awareness Day

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

The event will include a celebration of local music and break dancing alongside the promotion of the more serious message of crime awareness.

Sponsored by St Modwen Properties, Global Aware International and Signcraft, the event will provide community access to a number of high profile crime prevention organisations, with representatives on hand to offer advice and support.

The day is supported by a number of key community organisations including the Met Police, British Transport Police, Community Wardens, Southwark Anti Social Behaviour Unit, Crime Prevention Unit, Wandsworth Council Anti Crime Unit, Mothers Against Murder and Aggression, Say No to Drugs Say Yes To Life campaign sponsored by Church of Scientology, and Parks Police Dog Unit.

If you have an organisation that would like to support this event please contact Mike Knell on 020 7703 5678.

"As a major stakeholder within the South London community we have always strived to raise awareness of the pitfalls of crime through events held at the centre," says James Stockdale from St Modwen.

This important event builds on last year's 'Say No To Drugs' day at the centre which provided people with the opportunity to understand the dangers associated with taking drugs, whilst highlighting the different advice services on offer in the Southwark area.
