Prodigal Theatre: Parkour

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Parkour, a relative of freerunning, has a somewhat controversial reputation: revered by participants, celebrated on screen and yet seen as an urban nuisance by some. Prodigal Theatre’s groundbreaking Urban Playground is a programme of parkour work that sets out to demonstrate that with careful training and supervision this can be a safe and rewarding creative art form.

The company will lead workshops culminating in micro-performances for visitors to participate in, alongside discussions about the potential of parkour. There will be the chance to catch two performance pieces, Quartet and Fusion, with the weekend shows featuring Charles Perriere and Malik Diouf.
