Mbuyisa Maphalala is a South African Artist based in SE London.

He is one of three artists who were responsible for painting the Zimbabwe Map which is on constant view in the cathedral.

This mini show is a collection of small paintings exploring mixed media.

Materials used vary from found objects such as sand, shells from Kenya (Mombasa), buttons, felt and texture paste. Also used are recycled materials such as newspapers and magazines which are transferred onto canvas and there are given a range of vibrant colours of acrylic finish.

This show is inspired by the multicultural people and activities of Peckham where this artist resides. He has had numerous exhibitions internationally (Swaziland, South Africa, USA) and here in the UK .
