Roderick Suddaby, Keeper of the Imperial War Museum's Department of Documents, and author Marcus Cowper take a closer look at the Museum's collection of diaries and letters written in the first few months of the Second World War. Often candidly written, these personal documents reveal what ordinary people were thinking and feeling as the country adapted for War-time life.
