As part of Lupus Awareness Month, the St Thomas Lupus Trust will be showing this film about N'Deaye Ba's struggle with lupus in what were to be the last months of her life. She died at Guy's Hospital aged just 32.
N'Deaye was an actress and regularly appeared on television in programmes such as 'Trial & Retribution' and her final programme was 'Jericho' with Robert Lindsay.
Just prior to her death she had finally achieved a life long ambition to be accepted as part of the Royal Shakespeare company.
The film is very personal, sad and moving and shows N'Deaye's battle with no holds barred. It also shows the relationship between N'Deaye and her mother Christina who at the same time was fighting leukaemia.
This is a rare opportunity to see exactly how lupus can affect a patient, both physically and mentally and get an insight into what it's like to have lupus so severely.
If you are a healthcare worker in particular, or have an interest in lupus you will find the film extremely informative.
