Waterloo Community Development Group General Meeting at Waterloo Action Centre

A scheme to revamp Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank was approved in 2006 but couldn't be implemented due to financial and legal problems.

In March South Bank Employers' Group outlined plans for a slightly cheaper scheme, and the promise of £1.5 million from Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, provided the Gardens could be opened in time for the Olympics in 2012.

Because of the short timescale this is likely to be your only opportunity to comment before a planning application is submitted.

Come and have your say on the plans for Waterloo's most visited green space.

Also on the agenda - The car park next to Jubilee Gardens has been zoned since 1977 for an extension of Jubilee Gardens.

Landowners the Southbank Centre have supported a film centre at this riverside location... but with funding for this option withdrawn, is the way now clear for finally getting some real open space?

What would you like to see go on this much-disputed site?
