This mixed media solo exhibition by Norinne Betjemann explores the liminal moments that separate conscious and unconscious, thought and instinct, real and imagined.
There are fleeting moments when we occupy two worlds that blend indistinctly and where nothing seems clear or the clarity proves deceptive or unimportant.
Sounds or sensations are misinterpreted. Swimming in air. Breathing in water. Somehow the brain allows for this, until one regretfully slips from this liminal moment into the real world.
