Take 21 dead sons and one sacrificial killing. Add 6 severed members, 1 live burial, 1 case of insanity... and one of cannibalism... Mix in one angry queen, hell bent on revenge, and serve.

Titus Andronicus - Shakespeare's earliest, and bloodiest, tragedy. The Roman general, Titus Andronicus, returns from 10 years of war holding captive Tamora, queen of the Goths, and her 3 sons. Bound by Roman ritual, Titus sacrifices her eldest son which earns the general Tamora's unending hatred and promise of revenge...

First performed at the Rose in 1592, come and see it in all its glory at Bankside's first theatre.
