Cafe Rouge Snail Trail

This event is in the past. This is an archive page for reference.

Giant snails will be taking over London on Saturday 22 May as Cafe Rouge launches snail hunts across London in celebration of National Escargot Day on 24 May.

The restaurant group is paying homage to the mighty mollusc by giving Londoners, young and old, the chance to win a selection of exciting prizes.

Starting at 11am on Saturday 22 May, people on the adventure trail should be on the lookout for 120 oversized cut-out snails.

Hidden in and around Blackheath, Highgate, Hay's Galleria, Southgate, Strand on the Green and Wimbledon, the snails can be redeemed for special prizes including:

• Luxury French food hampers containing fine cheeses, meats, bread and Bonne Maman jam
• Hampers containing bottles of premium French wine, beer and champagne
Cafe Rouge dining vouchers
• And lots more French-themed prizes!

Each snail will be labelled with instructions on how people can claim their prizes. They will not all be easy to find and those moving at a snail’s space could miss out.
