2pmThis year's Bermondsey & Rotherhithe Carnival is centred on Southwark Park's bandstand with events taking place between 12 noon and 6pm
The carnival procession will start at Bermondsey's Spa Gardens at 2pm.
The Blitz-themed parade, run by local arts company Arts Desire, will snake its way to Southwark Park via The Blue.
Nearly 500 children are expected to take part including eight local primary schools and another eight community groups and three marching bands, including a bugle band made up of ex-servicemen.
More than 40 workshops will have taken place in schools and community spaces to prepare for the parade.
