Access to Music Open Session at Morley College

Are you interested in pursuing a career in music? Morley College invites you to find out more about its popular Music Access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma.

Come along to the open session to meet tutors, discuss requirements and have your questions answered.

Serving the London area, the Music Access Diploma is run by accomplished tutors with extensive experience in the industry. The one year, fully accredited programme provides a comprehensive and exciting introduction to the skills needed to succeed in the music profession.

Based in Lambeth, Morley College has a fantastic mix of students, each bringing their own musical heritage to the course and, regardless of whether your style is modern or traditional the course covers all aspects useful to building your career.

Recent students have gone on to continue their studies at top universities across the UK, including The Royal College of Music, Trinity College of Music, Leeds College of Music and Royal Northern College of Music, as well as many entering the music industry directly.

What do you need? You need to be 19 or above, passionate and committed to music, have completed seven years or Grade 6 on your first instrument/voice or composition, have grade 5 theory or five years experience of music theory, four years on piano or grade 3, and have good literacy and numeracy skills.

Current student Meklit Negussie is hoping to teach music to children one day in her native country, Ethiopia.

Meklit said: "Morley College offers a very supportive environment with dedicated teachers who encourage students to take advantage of the great facilities, opportunities to perform and the positive atmosphere."
