OK - this is an odd ask...

Does anyone know of any places in SE1, or in the wider area of London, that offers hire of an area to play video games? I saw a shop somewhere (might have been Finchley) where you pay to hire a couch, TV, console and all the games you might want.

Anyone any ideas?

How much do you want to pay? I'm sure my couch has reasonable rates.

...there's plenty more c**** in the cup.

Hehe...I'm not sure I could afford the wear and tear that my mates would cause! Being that the flat in which I live is too small to have gaming nights now (and being that I live too far away for most of the boys), somewhere central would be good...

Southwark libraries probably let you do it iof you use headphones - I think they are (regrettably) moving away from the "silent environment" ethos.
I'd try Peckham and john Harvard libraries first.
Staff are friendly, give them a call.
