Does anyone know if Quinlan's opticians have ceased trading or if it is a temporary closure for the Thameslink viaduct? There is no message on their ansaphone.

The notice on the window suggests that they closed permanently on 6 January.

I went in to Quinlan's just before Christmas, had my eyes tested. They didnt tell me that they were closing and rang me on 6 Jan to tell me that my specs were ready. I collected them and they told me that they were closing that day, but if I had any problems with my specs, I should ring the shop number as it would be diverted. Well, I'm rather annoyed as I do have probs with the new specs and can't get hold of them as number no longer exists. Does anyone know how to contact them?

opticans are bound by NHS so possibly you could complain to the Primary Care Trust
