We first flagged this up last year:

will it include ground heat source pumps - like Southbank university new energy centre building just off Newington Causeway

its proven low maintenance technology that gives a return of 3 - 4 Kwhr for each Kwhr the pump uses - so its free 100% clean carbon neutral energy forever ( - after 3 yrs to pay for itself)

- what ever it produces will come straight off the top of the winter heating and summer cooling bills

There's an exhibition of proposals today and tomorrow at the Queensborough Community Centre - info here:

The centrepiece is a 28-storey spiral tower in the middle of the triangle.

The scheme includes offices, residential, hotel, student accommodation etc.

Hi So the developers have got the Newington Triangle well and truely in their sights. I know there's got to be progress and things cannot stay the same forever ,but some of the Borough Road buildngs are very easy on the eye. and I for one will morn their demolision . The one consolation is the retention of the Baptist Church. Boy .if only them Buildings could talk. what stories they could tell.
