Our 10 year old vacuum cleaner broke today after giving up abruptly during use. We've taken it to bits and determined that it's not the plug or the fuse or the wiring. It was proving somewhat inefficent at picking up cat fur, so we're going to try and replace it with something stronger. However, does anybody know:

1. Is there any business in the area that could use it for parts?

2. Does anybody want an old broken vacuum cleaner?

3. If the answer to both questions is "no", can anybody advise where I could drop it off to be recycled? We have a car, so we could drive it somewhere.
