Does anyone know why the 2 offies on Union Street are closed? Is it permanent? I loved the one closest to SBR - it had everything from tools for emergency DIY to Match Attax cards.

If you mean the two newsagent's/gen stores shops on Flat Iron Square, Union street - they are closed for refurbishment. The one nearest Southwark Bridge Road is being refurbished first - opening again in a few days (there is a notice giving actual date outside the shop). The other has been closed for a few months - owners moved away - the new owners will re-open after refurbishment after Easter - and I believe, it will be a bakery.

Funny, I never thought of them as being offie's - but yes they did both sell booze.

I guess "convenience store" would be more accurate.
