Does Southwark council own the chapel there where servcices take place for cremation? Because if it does the department responsible for cleaning it need to check it occasionally. The whole place was dusty the tribute stands inside and the carpet even.
The toilet had an overflowing bin and also needed a spruce up.

Some of the mourners had come from other countries to pay their respects and all commented on the state of it.

When you see your loved ones off this earth in a service the last thing you want to think about is the dirt under your feet and fingers!

Sorry to read that, Jan. I found this, though it doesn't answer your question. Its clear the council are responsible for the cemetery but not clear whether they look after the crematorium.
