Quite simply, Galliard broke the law by making the basement too small for Southwark to use their Recycling Vans. They were unable to raise, turn and empty any such bins!

I spent a considerable amount of time getting recycling bins installed outside - but Southwark refused to put a glass bin, because of the noise element re. Leathermarket Court - aka. The Flooders!

Yes, much of the rubbish was dumped by City Walk residents, too lazy to go down to the basement. So, after starting and ending each day with a rubbish dump opposite our front door, we asked for the two bins to be removed.

How sad.
