Walking by the roadworks on Tooley Street the other night, I found an excellent specimen of something which I (as a Canadian living in London) had until know considered to be an urban legend....

... evidence of British worker tea breaks!!



I recall in Canada we would tend to see a pile of binned styrofoam coffee cups. Here, it's much more civilised mugs - with real milk, and a tray no less!



(Now, will this be on the Life in Britain test?)

And the guys have even aligned the mugs in an aesthetically pleasing pattern based on colour and available equipment.

No sign of any Hob Nobs though - must be a council job.

That spare mug of tea looks a little watery.

Lots of people are taking mugs to work, to ease up on disposable cups, nice to see!
