Spurgeon's Tabernacle

How old is the tabernacle? was it built in 1854? looking at an old map there is a building that seems in the shape of a church.

the present building is a rebuild, as it was bombed in the war. The original must have been built around the 1850's, that was burnt down in 1898 (source: Spurgeon's Tabernacle website). The Portico seems to have survived the longest.

The Tabernacle Fellowship started in 1850 but they used other buildings. The Elephant one was finished in 1861.

I'm assuming 1850 is a typo for 1650 - Spurgeon's Tabernacle can claim a history in Southwark going back to an underground existence during the Commonwealth.

As I have gone 'map mad' lately having found extra links on this incredible site, one of them clearly had a building on it looking like a church and aisle etc. I'll have to search and try and remember which one it was!
