I stand corrected as there is also a store in Barry. Barry, Aber, Monmouth, that's at least two stores in Wales.

Aber is almost in England, I would say. Barry is definitely in Wales, but (given its status as a top holiday destination) I'd guess that the Waitrose is for English visitors.

...if you press it, they will come.

Wrong, so wrong - the Vale of Glamorgan now has as almost many 4x4s as Clapham High St
Vale tops Wales rich list

Rabbie's got me bang to rights ;0( I'll come quietly.

My apologies to the good subjects of Her Majesty in Barry.

I'd always thought of it as very Welsh, but now realise that this was probably because my Welsh friend Julie used to go there for holidays with her Welsh parents and I'd heard it was very Welsh from her. Of course, it could have been teenage angst and misundersatanding.

[left the sp in, on consideration]

I was referring to commuting Cardiff accountants and lawyers, who have now colonised the Vale. (Oh and of course I meant Northcote Rd, not Clapham High St)

So Barry's still Welsh then?

HOORAY!
