Sample from me. I'm just an oik, not a pro, but I'll knock you up a simple site for a couple of hundred, bit more if you want hosting.

A friend who lives in Alaska buildings SE1 has just passed this onto me. I specialise in basic simple, sophisticated website design - i build sites from 300. I work on my own, so a small company with no large overheads, i'm an experienced Graphic Designer and photographer having worked in TV design for 15 yrs i've been doing web design for the last few tears.. I've build many sites, all with good Google rankings - see examples on my website and get in touch (my contact details are on my site), if you'd like to talk further.

My friend offers web design services with a Content Management System (CMS) that means you can change and update content by yourself. His charge for a standard website with 5 pages is 400.
