ok, well I for one will definitely write to the council about our access being denied, I would encourage others to do so too. I presume Cllr Anood Al-Samerai is still the correct contact? thanks.

I will certainly second that Darren. Anood wasn't very good - last time I asked her she said she would get back in touch with me but have heard nothing ever since...

I'd normally suggest the Highways Department which, in most councils, has responsibility of public footpaths and most Rights of Way, too.

The Southwark Council web-site has references in press releases etc to a Highways Team, but I can't find any contact details for it.

Perhaps it's the same as the Transport Planning service: http://www.southwark.gov.uk/YourServices/transport/

Is this still the case re. Southwark please?
Thanks

they are a public right of way at all times from Shad Thames onto the foreshore and have been so for hundreds of years, and are acknowledged as such by Southwark Council.
The only problem is that Southwark Council does not ensure that our right of way is kept open.
