Screens will be placed around The Vault during the month-long project when necessary to ensure dignity during the examination of remains.

Why so much effort to 'ensure dignity' to these remains when Inca and Egyptian mummies and preserved bog bodies from Britain and Ireland are displayed in museums. Why not dig up Bishop Lancelot Andrewes (1555-1626) and put him on display in a glass case in the Cathedral to add interest for visitors.

Surely screens are required by law for such work? It's certainly the common practice for exhumations etc, although I do think they go a bit overboard sometimes as though people might faint at the sight of a human bone.
