The police have told me that more than one gang is responsible for a series or recent break-ins; so it seems these fairly recently fitted council doors are already known to our criminal brethren.

So I'm not divulging any secrets about doors which are not fit for purpose, in my opinion.

As part of the Decent Homes initiative, a lot of homes had major works completed, including new front doors.

Next door to me have been broken into twice in recent weeks and now, so have I. It seems these doors have a weak spot, the PVC bottom panel, which, when kicked in is large enough to let a person enter.
I live in Rephidim Street (between Tower Bridge Rd and Great Dover St) and I write to A) warn others, and B) to find out if there are other victims of this crime?

Hi!

I live in Tabard garden estate and a month ago or so we had a string of break ins. In one case when owners were in the flat. Litterally.
Now it seems to have calmed down. Changing doors... maybe.
