If you go on your search engine and type in Trestle Tables it will give you a complete list of suppliers, some of them even offer free delivery in the uk.

Jan not a stupide question at all.
Its to hold my laptop/dinner when im in the flat as space and furnature is at a premium. I'm either sitting in a crappy chair or lying on me bed.

I'll check out the E&C shops this weekend.

Trestle tables seem a bit big for what im looking for. Unless I've missed a smaller option.

Does it need to be moveable or could a fold-out one attached to the wall work? It's a lot more solid feeling than a little folding one.
Obviously Ikea's not in SE1 but it's surprisingly painless to get to for small items.
The Croydon one is train from London Bridge followed by tram and the Wembley one is really near Neasden Tube on the Jubilee line.
