Hi - I'm looking for a piano tuner to give some TLC to my (very out of tune) piano. Also needs to be able to replace two strings. It's an upright (nto sure whether that makes any difference).
If it is badly out of tune, it will need its pitch raised, which is usually done over two tunings; this is to avoid sudden over-tensioning of the strings.
I have had excellent results with:
Morleys Pianos Se13 (obviously their tech comes to you)
Pianochap.co.uk (website for Brian Lettice, tuner/tech)
Beware though that the thicker (bass) strings are more expensive.
Good luck! My Danemann initially needed all this too, but it was well worth it.
