I thought I would try this market out as it is listed as being open on Sundays and I wanted to try the Mexican food.

Today, I wandered down to the Elephant and it was closed !!!

When is it open?

Thanks

The signs around the shopping centre still say general market Monday-Saturday, food market Sunday.

I don't think the Sunday food market is operating anymore, not seen it for ages.

They left because they weren't getting enough custom. Some of us did buy stuff there1

Chavender - are you talking about the short-lived Saturday farmers' market outside the LCC? That was a different thing altogether to the Sunday market outside the shopping centre.

As far as I know both have gone.

Both really have gone, though there may be one food stall left outside the shopping centre.

Thanks for all your replies

I phoned up the market organisers and they said it was closed due to the poor weather earlier this year and a lack of stalls but they may re-open with the better weather

I asked them to update the website and the signage.
