Good to hear you Gerry. Seems in the lighting business everyone agrees...Orione I dont take kindly to being lectured, at past seventy I think I know how to appreciate and how to behave and if you call that an outburst, you should get out more...Look forward to Book Club in August (sorry wont be able to come before that but as always will read the book), and having a good supper and chat in the Britannia
Except please keep some of the lighting up when the SE1 stitch and bitchers meet there: we need to see what we're doing (and Gerry, we've been meeting there for 2.5 years now and there should be a calendar in your diary so a table can be reserved for us!)
We had a lovely evening at the Britannia this evening, and Gerry came and made himself known and gave us a great welcome (and switched off the overhead light). Very pleasant and a great burger - and chips of course.
Hi all, just a little note to say thanks for your nice comment Jackie, and Julie of course I will look after you to the best of my abilities, and can asure you I will have a few bottles of viognier chilled and ready for you.
Please, please keep the comments, coming as I do listen - this is your pub, not mine. Anyway my news is we have our new chef, who is raving about his homemade pies which start as specials today - saturday, and his sunday roasts, come in and give them a go and let me know how they went.
Cheers
I think the Britannia pub is great now Gerry has taken over, as for the staff, well they are so nice compared to 3-4 months ago.
They now have a good chef too, had a lovely meal there the other lunch time.
Well done Gerry for getting this place back on track!
Yes - I was there last night for a friends birthday bash. Gerry and the team looked after us very well, and the food platters were very tasty and great value. Thanks for an excellent night!
