I would be grateful if anyone can help with the following please.

I am trying to find a company/individual that would do a small welding job for me.

Basically I need a padlock welded on to a chain (I have a shared gate and because others can't be bothered to lock the gate previous padlocks have disappeared).

Thanks everyone.

I've been using Clive 07956466546 for years - he's done lots of chassis/bodywork on my Bigvans, as well as odd jobs, like 'fridge hinges, chains, and a motorbike stand.

I'm sure you could take it in to any motor mechanic under some railway arch assuming you don't want the chain welded to the gate, in which case you'd have to carry the gate along too!

Hello Graham,

I called the number that you gave me for Clive.

I am getting what sounds like an unobtainable tone. Would you have either another number or an e-mail address for him please?

Thanks Graham.

Have you thought about a u-bolt to attach chain to padlock?

It sounds like you are trying to prevent casual loss rather than active theft.
