If any early birds are looking for tomato plants I saw this on the project dirt website (here)

Capital Growth has teamed up with B&Q and the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, to encourage Londoners to grow their own. Tomorrow (Friday, May 20th) we will host “Flash Grow” with an aim to give away 100,000 tomato plants to those who come to Trafalgar Square from 6 am to 2pm.

I think it is also good news that the informal gardening that has been revitalising parts of the Heygate Estate since April has now received "in principle" authorisation from Cllr Fiona Colley, the Cabinet Member for Regeneration & Corporate Strategy, with plans to involve Walworth Garden Farm. However the existing gardeners are looking for more support - please see here (towards the bottom of the page).
