I am having my 29th birthday party on the evening of 8 July for around 30-40 people and am looking for a venue that has an outdoor space and can accommodate the booking.

I was initially thinking of having it at Shunt, but that is now closed, so was looking for somewhere ideally a bit quirky and open later than regular pub hours if possible.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

There was a thread along these lines dating from 2008, but I was wondering if anyone had any new suggestions?

The Miller has a nice sized outside area and is close to London Bridge station. A friend had her birthday bash there and access to the outside area.

Their private party details are here.

I don't pull pints for them.

thanks -- I just contacted them and unfortunately it's already booked up. My search continues.

All Bar One on Shad Thames has a large outside decked area with great views of Tower Bridge. They charge nothing for reserving space for a party - but check if that includes outside.

Website here.

The Horseshoe has an outside but it's only a pub as does the Old School Yard, which is a bit more quirky
