Noticed on the way home that all three of the turbines at Strata are spinning. First time I have seen that.

Don't expect to see it very often. White elephants don't spin very well.

I just looked and they're not.

They do seem rather pointless if they're not going to work on a regular basis.

Wind is blowing from the north, they won't work.

If the forcast is right, and they aren't cleaning windows then they should be going on Friday.

They are attractive but I agree, they never turn and solar panels would actually produce some power, perhaps a point for future planning apps.

They also look rather permanent so I can't see them actually being changed.

You won't see either on future planning apps, the 10% on site renewable contribution that necessitated the turbines has been relaxed.

All three spinning tonight and being rather noisy. Still we're coming up to that time of year when my balcony door will be closed at night so maybe it won't bother me so much. But right now the noise is much more noticeable than it should be.
