I dropped in on this pub just off London Road last night as it's just reopened. Was very pleasantly surprised. They've refurbished it very nicely, good range of real ales, wines and lagers. They will be doing food in about 10 days time, and the owners were very nice and chatty.

Atmosphere was enhanced by there being several people in there in amazing 18th century style dresses for Halloween!

No TV, only classical music. Definitely something a bit different for the Elephant area!

Mrs Phil & I went there for a post-work pint or two the week before last and it was very good.

I loved the classical music, but not the adverts - if you're going to play serious music, whole pieces or Radio 3, please, not Classic FM.

I'm looking forward to the food offer starting, too.

(no connection either)
