One day I got lost in the estate -- whilst cycling -- between the student housing on Great Dover and Long Lane and saw a little hole-in-the-wall Indian/curry restaurant in the middle of that area. I think it was a white brick building. Anyone know anything about this place? Prices? Food? Tried it?

Never tried it, but it has been open for years and is still going it seems, so must be okay. Keep saying I will go in and try it too. On Weston street...

Yeah, maybe I'll give it a proper go tonight -- remember its name?

Is it this one? Curry Express

If it is that one - then it's missing from the listings for Weston Street...

I've never listed it because I've always been a bit confused by it - it seems to go by several names (or has done in the past) and I've not been clear whether it was a delivery-only operation.

There doesn't seem to be a phone number for them on hungry house or Just Eat but the reviews on both are pretty good.

Could it have been Simply Indian?

It is on Tabard Street, behind Empire Square. It is a BYO.

the guys at curry express have serially raised their game. the last 3 curries i've had from them have been excellent. They must have a new chief, or whatever the reason i like it! respect where respect is due.
