Very upset indeed to see the building on the corner of Bear Lane and Treveris Street has been demolished. Not really that bothered about the building itself, but rather the lovely old-fashioned road sign that was built into the corner. does anyone know if this has been preserved?

Had never ever noticed it, however someone uploaded a nice photo.

Apparently they were intending to take it to an architectural salvage firm

This caught me unawares, haven't been past that area for some time and was a bit shocked to see it had all been flattened. I hope they did at least save that corner, it was always a very distinctive feature; better still incorporate it into whatever is due to replace it.
