There was a massive set of Olympic Rings floating on the Thames at 6.30 this morning, all lit up like a Christmas tree. Looked great from tower bridge. Anyone know where they are destined for? (They would look great at the top if the Shard!)

The rings to be suspended from the bridge are different.

These ones will go up and down the river during the Olympics

What a great idea! Just in case we forget that they're going on (if only). Or maybe just to remind the majority of people that they can't get a ticket.

(Can you tell that I'm an Olympic Scrooge who didn't get a ticket in the ballot?)

...if you press it, they will come.

For some odd reason the concert scene from Apocalypse Now spings to mind.
