This cafe at the north entrance of the Shopping Centre was a greasy spoon for years, and about a month ago became a Colombian greasy spoon.
Main courses a tenner, and portions are huge. I had the Bandeja paisa which is a pork-lover's feast: Rice, pork belly, red bean stew, fried egg, pork steak, plantain, avocado, chorizo and cornbread. Delicious, I thought.
Sounds good. The previous cafe may have looked like a "greasy spoon" (may have been the problem) but in fact it did fantastic Indian food. They had a vegetarian lunch buffet for just £3.99 and it was so tasty. I really looked forward to it when in the area. I actually went in back in January, nothing ahd changed, walked up to the counter to see they were now Columbians. Didn't have a clue what the menu was about so went elsewhere but reading your post I'll give it a try.
