Hi Zoe,

That would a reasonable suggestion but in the run-up to the New Year celebrations all of the bike hire ranks around the South Bank were emptied and locked. I expect the same will happen this time, although the TfL 'information' pages don't mention it.

Does anyone know?

I couldn't make any sense of the info - what the hell is a bus hub? Can I actually get a bus over Waterloo Bridge that day? The directions thingy only seems to give you walking or driving routes, not buses. No good for me, can't drive and can't walk far.

From what I can see it looks like I'd be better off staying indoors.

See http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/cycling/18088.aspx - only a couple of the closed docking stations are in SE1 (around Albert Embankment)

Thanks James - last time, they took out Baylis Road, the Cut, and everything on Upper Ground.
