Hello All

My name is Marcos Villalba, and along with my colleague Christopher Lawson. We'll be participating in the Union Press. The project just started and will be running on Flat Iron Square for a couple of weeks.

For our contribution to the project we're looking at the history of the printing trade in Southwark and Around Union Street. During our preliminary research we discover that the are use to thrive with dozens of printing firms in the area, as well as paper merchants and printing supplies firms.

We would like learn more about this part of the local history. In order to do so we are looking forward to get in contact with retired printers, compositors, etc... We are interested in talking to them, collecting some of their memories and we're also considering to organise an informal reunion. We are aware that some of this people might not use this forum themselves, but if you know anybody interested on collaborating, please get in contact with us.
