Not wanting to repeat the shambles of trying to watch the pageant in July - does anyone have any idea about a good place to watch the fireworks from tonight without too much of a crush(and if you are short) or is that too tall an order!

I usually walk through to Blackfriar's Bridge. Obviously the earlier you arrive, the best vantage point. It gets busy - but that's to be expected. Enjoy - I can't make it this year.

There will also be a shorter (3 minute) display also at 10.30 between Tower Bridge and London Bridge.

The main Thames Festival display between Blackfriars Bridge and Waterloo Bridge (also at 10.30) will last 10 mins.

Only just got back to the website - thanks for your suggestions. Ended up just walking about a hundred metres west of the Mayflower, and got fantastic view of the fireworks at Tower Bridge. Enough for me, as too much crushing this summer already.
