Call me old fashioned but I would love to get

a) an acknowledgement of my presence when I arrive to buy vegetables
b) a smile but this could be too much to ask
c) a thank you when I pay for my goods

Your stall may well look amazingly presented and be in the prestigious Borough market but your customer service is appalling.
The atmosphere is cold, unfriendly and lacks any personal touch.

I wont be shopping there again despite walking passed it every day.

I am also not alone in this regard.

It is usually more effective to tell them directly rather than assume they will read this, which they probably won't.

I must say that I have exactly the same experience. This stall is remarkable in their unfriendliness and I have decided a while ago to not ever shop there again.

Guy's street,

You are quite right and I wish I had.
I normally do.

I will report back when I go back and do what I should have done in the first place.

I stopped using them years ago because of they were so unhelpful and indifferent. I take my custom elsewhere.

Nice work Speedy.

I would love to be a fly on the wall when you march up to the stall and gives them an earful.

Are you just going to turnip and tell them to their face?

I'd be there rooting for you, but I carrot make it.

Lettuce not start with these vegetable based puns. We have bean here before.

I agree. It's too corny.

Maybe, after telling them what he thinks, he could do a runner (bean).

Particularly galling when you are paying around double the going rate too.

Mind you, when I visited the market last week for the first time in ages, it's so overwhelmed by food bloggers, they would probably be quite surprised to see a paying customer.
