In case anyone is thinking of putting bathroom/shower room/wet rooms refurbishment on their New Year wish list I am happy to recommend the guys I have been using to strip out and repair and refit two bathrooms which had terrible leaks...(caused by inexperienced plumbers when we refurbished our house a decade ago)

Two brothers Jimmy and Matthew of Majestic Bathrooms are reliable British workmen who really know about bathrooms - that's all they do and have done for 25+ years !

Catch them on 0781 4898009

My reason for recommending them is simply to save locals time and hassle in finding a good bathroom specialist installer and save the heartache of leaks and water damage.

I have discovered that often bathroom suppliers/shops have recommended bathroom installers but sometimes there is a bit of payback going on between the shop and the tradesman - which is not usually in the customers best interests. It took me 6 months to find Matt and Jim...including refusing several quotes of up to 40k to do just one of our bathrooms from shops in the area recommending fitters !!

Showering has never been quite as enjoyable

How prescient of you. I'm currently struggling to find someone who inspires confidence to rehash my loo, bathroom and airing cupboard into a shower room and en-suite. I shall give them a call.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread and check if anyone has more recent experience with Majestic or other bathroom suppliers/fitters they'd reccommend (or avoid).

Look up Yilmaz. That's who I used in the end. Majestic cme round, looked, seemed very nice, but never got back to me with a cost.
