I read sometime ago that National Rail wanted to demolish the railway arches on Tooley Street as part of the redevelopment of London Bridge station.

As I was ambling to work this morning I noticed that the bike shop is moving and a bar called Platform has closed- Are these related or Pure coincidence?

Nick, as you suspected, this is related to the redevelopment of the station. I saw the Chinese restaurant clearing out. They even took the tiles!

Yes - Southwark Playhouse has now shut (pending relocation to Newington Causeway) and Winston Churchill's Britain at War Experience has also closed.

Their website says: "It is with great regret that the Museum will be closing on Sunday 6th January 2013 and will not be reopening. This is because the premises are required for the redevelopment of London Bridge Station. Further notice will be posted giving details of the new location of the exhibits.
