Hello all,
I live on Crosby Row off Long Lane, just south of Guy's hospital tower and is it just me or has the noise of the air conditioning or heating units right on the top of the tower become much louder recently? I can now hear the rumble from their units when inside. It's that constant almost aircraft like rumble?

I would be keen to hear if it's just me, or any other locals are bothered by it?

I live on Tabard Street beside the park. A few months ago I also thought the noise had become louder and intrusive but it does not bother me so much now - maybe I've become inured to it?

It maybe because they are working on the cladding? Perhaps they have temporarily removed soundproofing material? Just a guess.

Very good point - yes the whole tower is being reclad at the moment. As you say, I wonder if they have reduced noise protection or insulation. Let's see if anyone else has become aware. If so, I might approach Guys and see if this is the case.
